We are home, cooking most of our meals, stirring up most of our drinks, finding ways to entertain ourselves in this crazy 2020 year. How can I give back, I wondered? One look at my overflowing bookshelves got me thinking: What if I passed along some of my best cookbooks and cocktail books and community building books to my Nourishing Stories readers?
So, here’s my plan. For 10 days, I’ll post a book cover on Facebook and Instagram each day. These are books I own, have read, have loved — and am excited for you to read too. For your chance to be sent a free book — there will be a mix of cookbooks and nonfiction — simply sign up for my monthly newsletter or, if you’re already a subscriber, tag a friend who you think might enjoy a regular dose of good writing, uplifting stories and healthful recipes.
The details: Each day, I’ll collect the names of new subscribers and subscribers who tagged friends and pick one at random. I’ll message the winner to let her know and get an address to send the book to. Simple.
Be sure to check either Facebook or Instagram each day (the books will be the same both places) from Sunday, October 25 till Tuesday November 3. Feel free to tag a new person (or many new people; each tag increases your chances of winning) for every title you’d like to win. There are no limits on participation.
Not on social media? No worries. Forward my newsletter to a friend and then email me that friend’s name and the book you’d like for me to send you. (See your choices in the photo above; let me know if you’d like more description.) I’ll enter your name into my daily drawing, too.
